Learning, Learning, Learning

A little bit behind, but here’s my weekly update on the YouTube/fitness trek for the week of 13-February.

YouTube

This past Sunday, I dropped my video about the different types of creativity. After the first two days of launching, here are the stats:

  • 2.3% Click Through Rate
  • 1.9 Watch Hours
  • 2.0K Impressions
  • +3 Subscribers from this video (New personal record from non SHORTS content)
  • +5 Subscribers total for the past 7 days

All of the above are new records for me. Makes me super motivated and to keep creating content within this niche. Some things I’ve learned this past week:

  • How important a thumbnail is. I went with a simpler concept on the thumbnail, editing out my uke on my wall to allow space for text to shine. I think the minimalistic look is incredibly clean, and I think it’s a concept I want to continue with going forward
  • Writing Scripts is my weakest skill. As I progress into this next video, I realize my writing is my weakest aspect. I need to keep writing and refining. The simpler and more clear I can make my message, the better.
  • My camera confidence is getting better. Recording for the next video this week happened in about half the time.

As I keep progressing here, I’m starting to see my improvement, as well as I’m getting pickier and pickeir about what I like. I recorded all the A-Roll for a video about why adults lose their creativity today, and I’m going back to revisit and revise tomorrow, because I dont think the message is succinct enough after recording. Makes me better at the craft.

As with any skill, and any task I try to tackle, I need to approach the weakest areas first. This next week is going to be dedicated to writing!

Fitness

I feel AWESOME. The F45 challenge is about halfway through, and Im down 4lbs in 21 days. This week the workouts have been hard, but I feel my body is able to keep up with them better. It’s amazing what you can do when you workout hard, eat healthy, and don’t drink. I plan on continuing this not only until the challenge end, but I through this year. We are commited to a healthy lifestyle, and hell I want to dunk a basketball, or even see what I’d look like with abs. Why Not?

Lets get this everyone.

Commit To The Bit.
